Jimmy, age 57, has lived a long life with adventures and drugs. His body is tormented by his way of living, but he is still very curious and enjoys small everyday adventures. In the freezing winter time he can walk mile after mile on dark windy roads with only a thin jacket and a pair of sandals. Today he lives in a nursing home for old addicts named 'Sundholm' in Copenhagen. November 2010.

In a couple of hours 228 Pilot Whales where killed.

Pilot Whaling in the Faroe Islands is a non-commercial, communal and old tradition.

The meat and blubber is shared in the local community.

In 2010 a record number of 1.115 Pilot Whales where killed on the Faroe Islands. In 2009 the number was 310 and in 2008 none where killed. A full grown Pilot Whale can weigh up to 3.000 kilos. It is estimated that 4.000 Pilot Whales should be killed every year to keep the number stable.

Far out in the dark forest lies over 100 tired cars.

They have been here for over 50 years.

Now they seem to have given up.

Slowly but surely the forrest embrace them.

Like dead bodies they slowly vanish.

Loekke, age 73, lives at a home for elderly addicts 40 minutes outside the Danish city Odense. He has been drinking since the age of 14, but it accelerated when his wife was killed in a tragic accident 28 years ago. If you ask him, his mouth will tell you that it did not break him, but his face and voice will tell a completely different story. June 2010.

Eddie spends several hours each day injecting the drugs into his vains. It is getting harder and harder. The daily injections slowly but surely destroys the vains making it almost impossible to get the fix.

Eddie spends several hours each day begging for money in one of the central metro stations in Oslo. The security guards throws him out on a daily basis making it a difficult business.

Eddies livingroom. A couple of floors beneath the stylish streets of Oslo Eddie finds time to relax for a while. The parking lot serves as a shelter against the cold and other people. It is heated, has running water and electricity. The guards come by on a daily basis and throws addicts out.
